It's right around the corner! Adrianna, a dear friend, hiking buddy, and sushi aficionado, is graduating from George Mason University with a degree in Microbiology this May! Here she is looking cute in this plaid wrap that makes me think of places closer to the West coast. I'm proud of ya girl!

The Shaw Family
The the airport community, the Shaws are well-known friendly faces; Joe recently retired from his many years with the Airports Authority, and Janene can still be found cruising the runways for Airport Operations.
This past weekend the Shaws joined me on the waterfront for some family portraits as Autumn rushes into the region.
Rose Corps
Rose Corps, a synth-pop solo project, burst onto the DC music scene earlier this year with the release of their first single, “Frosted Glass;” an icy track with ambient warmth and rich vocals. Aeron, the singer / songwriter and synthesizer player behind Rose Corps, brought her background in dancing to the streets of DC for a sultry nighttime photoshoot.
Rose Corps is currently producing her next single, expected to release later this year, but for now you can listen to “Frosted Glass” while enjoying Aeron’s pictures.
I can’t encourage you enough to go follow Rose Corps on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Reverbnation, and most importantly, go buy “Frosted Glass” on Bandcamp to help support Aeron’s new music career.
A big thank you to Patrick and Rupeng for being my human lightstands in a short-notice pinch!
Melissa Jonas
I just HAD to share this portrait I took of Melissa this weekend! I took a few photos of her as she begins a new chapter of her career. Those of you in Fairfax County may recognize her as Fairfax County's Commissioner of Redevelopment and Housing Authority, and the Town of Herndon's Vice Chair, Planning Commission. We first met in 2012 at NASA's Space Shuttle Discovery Transport events at Dulles, and have kept up ever since. Truly a fantastic woman, and without a doubt, Melissa is dedicated to her positions in Fairfax County's and Herndon's development.
Sarah and Brigham: Married
Sarah and Brigham were married on a lovely May morning - this was the first Spring wedding I've ever shot at the Washington, DC LDS Temple, and I have to say that it was the most beautiful I have ever seen the Temple, between the bountiful tulips and the perfect gold morning light shining through the freshly blossoming trees.
Since there was plenty of time before their wedding, Sarah wanted to surprise Brigham in her dress, and capture his reaction to his first look at her.
